Lemosho Route 8 Days, 7 nights Lemosho Kilimanjaro Climbing is a premium route for Kilimanjaro climb and trek provided from 6 to 8 days. Climbing through different climate zones it starts on heaths and winds further across alpine meadows to ascend to the arctic zone near Uhuru Peak. The descent, in turn, passes through the rainforest. All this makes this route the most scenic in Kilimanjaro.

Lemosho offers the smoothest acclimatization and the highest success rates of 85%, 90%, and 95% for 6, 7, and 8-day tours, respectively. The total distance covered on Lemosho Route is 46 km (28.5 miles). Kilimanjaro On Foot recommends this trail for those ready to pay a bit extra for high-altitude drop-off by vehicle.

Day 1 Arrival - Drive to Moshi

Day 2 Drive from Moshi to Londorossi Gate (2100m), hike to Forest camp (2750m)

Day 3 Forest Camp (2750m) – Shira 1 Camp (3540m)

Day 4 Shira 1 (3540m) to Shira 2 (3840m) to Moir Hut (4114)

Day 5 Moir Hut ( 4114) to Lava Tower ( 4600) to Barranco Camp (3950m)

Day 6 Barranco Camp (3950m) to Karanga Camp (4235m)

Day 7 Karanga Camp (4235m) to Barafu Camp (4600)

Day 8 Summit attempt (from Barafu Camp (4600m) to Uhuru Peak (5895m) then down to Mweka (3100m)

Day 9 Mweka Camp (3100m) to Mweka Gate (1980m), drive to Moshi
