One of the classic budget tour adventure to explore Kenya’s best destinations. Head to the Northern Hemisphere through the Great Rift Valley towards the famous Maasai Mara Reserve. Home of the big five, big cats and great wildebeest migration.
See Flamingoes (Greater and Lesser) and other water birds including a variety of over 450 terrestrial birds in Lake Nakuru.
Finally explore Samburu National Reserve, a rugged and semi-desert. Wildlife expected during game drives include: buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah and other plains game. Species unique to Samburu Reserve include beisa oryx, the long necked Gerenuk, Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe and the blue shanked Somali ostrich. Often referred as the “Samburu Special Five”. The park neighbors the homes of the Samburu tribe of Kenya, a tribe known for their remote culture, pastoral and nomadic way of life.
Leave Nairobi for Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Picnic lunch enroute. On arrival proceed to the campsite/lodge. After a short rest and if time permits, proceed for a game drive in search of Black maned Lions, Elephants, Leopards, Cheetah, Buffalos and other plain’s game. Return to the camp/lodge for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast proceed for an early morning game drive. Picnic lunch in the park. After lunch, a further game drive till evening. Dinner and overnight at the camp/lodge.
After breakfast leave for Lake Nakuru National Park, game and picnic lunch enroute, arriving in Nakuru late in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the camp/hotel.
Proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park for pre-breakfast game drive. Known for its huge concentration of flamingoes, the park is rich in other bird life and a number of wild animals. After breakfast leave for Samburu. Lunch enroute arriving late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the campsite/lodge.
After breakfast depart for an early morning game drive. Return to the camp/lodge for lunch. Another afternoon game viewing drive. Dinner and overnight at the campsite/lodge.
After breakfast leave Samburu for Nanyuki at the base of Mt. Kenya. Drop off clients who want to stay behind to climb Mt. Kenya after lunch, leave for Nairobi.
